Anchor Bay : (Max. Depth: 20 metres)

This bay is located just underneath Popeye Village, which is famed for its picturesque film set. You will find a jetty that juts out across the bay. The inner side is mostly a sandy boring seabed. The jetty has steps down to sea level at several points making it easy to enter and exit. Dive in facing the mouth of the bay and the recommended option is to swim alongside the left-hand wall of the bay. Here you are likely to come across octopus, wrasse bream and also the occasional moray eel. The seabed is covered with rocks and boulders. However, the highlight of this dive is a large cavern, which you will come across if you stick to the left-hand side wall. The cavern has a huge dome-shaped ceiling with air locked in. Shrimp are very common on the cave floor as well as red cardinal fish. Looking out towards the mouth of the cave with lights out presents a beautiful sight.

Always be careful if breathing air inside a cavern, it may not be clean and fit for breathing, it is always advisable to keep your regulator in your mouth at all times.
